Zombicide: Black Plague Review

Seeing the £80 price tag on Black Plague might make your eyes widen a little, but don’t be fooled: inside the box is dozens of gorgeous miniatures, some top quality board tiles and a game which will give you and your friends a huge amount of playing time.

Casting your zombie outbreak back into old times was a great move. Never before have zombies had to fight through magic, badass weapons and burning dragon bile, and Black Plague gives the genre a new lease of life, whether you’re playing alone or with five others. The fact that the game works so well with any number of players is a testament to just how fun it is, and while it could be a few hours before your weary fighters have finally won through, you’ll have a tense and thoroughly cooperative experience in the meanwhile.

If you can look past the price tag and fancy a new zombie game in a new setting, this could be exactly what you’re after.
