Pebble Time Review

The Pebble Time is a great addition to my gadgetry. Looking sleek on my wrist it connects to my iPhone seamlessly and easily with a battery which lasts 4-5 days (less than the quoted 7) although a 20 minute charge restores it to full power so it’s no big deal.

Apps are supported although I mostly make use of it as a way to engage with my messages without having to get my phone out of my pocket. The simplified display handles text nicely with some colour but don’t expect to be dazzling folks with your photo collection. The vibration system works nicely to notify you, I particularly enjoy the alarm system and timer for it. Step tracking and twitter apps also are useful but by the time you start faffing with the watch you could have used your phone which is often to hand anyway.

So, is a Pebble Time worth getting? If you’re after a smart watch then yes, it’s fantastic. It’s not a lifechanger but I don’t wear any of my other watches now so that’s definitely a recommendation in itself.
