Joy Review

Joy is the story of a woman who loses her creative momentum at a young age where she has to mature ahead of her time to handle her family. However she hits a turning point in her life and attempts to restart her life on a new path – this film documents that journey.

Jennifer Lawrence puts in yet another brilliant performance with much of the same cast as Silver Linings Playbook. A smaller role for Bradley Cooper but a solid performance from De Niro. Joy is a good story acted well, although there is quite a lot of family shouting so perhaps one to avoid after any emotional family events.
